Cardiff Home Visit Hearing Tests & Hearing Care

Professional Hearing Care in the Comfort of Your Own Home

At Hearing Wales, we understand that attending a clinic appointment is not always convenient or possible for everyone. That is why we offer professional home hearing care visits across Cardiff and surrounding areas, allowing patients to receive expert audiology care in the comfort, familiarity and privacy of their own home.

Our HCPC-registered audiologists provide the same high standard of care during home visits as we do within our clinics, using professional equipment and taking the time to ensure every patient feels comfortable, informed and fully supported.

Whether you are concerned about changes in your hearing, need support with your hearing aids, or would prefer a more convenient appointment option, our Cardiff home visit service provides flexible, friendly and professional care tailored to your needs.

Cardiff Home Visit Hearing Tests

What Services Can We Provide During a Home Visit?

Our home hearing care appointments in Cardiff can include:

Hearing Tests at Home

We provide professional hearing assessments in the comfort of your home, helping identify hearing difficulties and discussing the most appropriate next steps. Many patients find home hearing tests more relaxed and less stressful than travelling to a busy clinic environment.

Our audiologists take the time to explain results clearly and answer any questions, ensuring patients feel fully informed about their hearing health.

Hearing Aid Demonstrations

For patients considering hearing aids for the first time, home appointments can provide a calm and supportive environment to discuss available options, technology levels and hearing solutions.

Hearing Aid Fitting at Home

Choosing the right hearing aids is an important step, and many patients feel more comfortable discussing their options within their own home environment.

Our Cardiff home visit service includes professional hearing aid fitting appointments, allowing patients to receive expert support and guidance without needing to travel to clinic.

During a home hearing aid fitting appointment, our audiologists can:

  • Explain different hearing aid styles and technology levels
  • Recommend suitable hearing aids based on your hearing needs and lifestyle
  • Programme and fit hearing aids professionally
  • Ensure hearing aids are comfortable and performing correctly
  • Provide practical guidance on cleaning, charging and maintenance
  • Answer questions in a relaxed, unhurried setting

Because Hearing Wales is fully independent, we are able to offer hearing aids from leading manufacturers and recommend solutions based entirely on the patient’s individual needs.

Many patients also find that hearing aids can be adjusted more effectively within their own home environment, where real-world listening situations can be discussed more naturally.

We also provide ongoing aftercare and support following hearing aid fittings to ensure patients continue hearing comfortably and confidently.

Hearing Aid Advice and Support

If you already wear hearing aids, we can provide:

  • Hearing aid adjustments
  • Ongoing aftercare and support
  • Cleaning and maintenance advice
  • Troubleshooting hearing aid issues
  • Guidance on getting the best performance from your hearing aids

As independent audiologists, we are not tied to one manufacturer, allowing us to provide honest and unbiased recommendations tailored to the patient.

Ear Wax Removal (Where Appropriate)

For suitable patients, we may also be able to provide ear wax removal during a home visit appointment using professional microsuction equipment.  The charge for this is £85 and includes a follow up appointment if needed.  Ear wax removal can make a huge difference to some people’s ability to hear well.

We always assess suitability on an individual basis and prioritise patient safety and comfort at all times.

Who Are Home Visits Ideal For?

Our Cardiff home hearing care service is particularly beneficial for:

  • Patients with limited mobility
  • Elderly patients who find travelling difficult
  • Individuals recovering from illness or surgery
  • Patients with health conditions that make clinic visits challenging
  • Care home residents
  • Busy professionals who prefer appointments at home
  • Family members arranging care for relatives

Many people simply feel more relaxed being seen in their own surroundings, which often leads to a more comfortable and positive appointment experience.

Why Choose Hearing Wales?

Independent Audiologists

Hearing Wales is an independent hearing care provider, meaning we are not tied to a single hearing aid manufacturer. This allows us to recommend the most suitable solution for each individual patient.

Friendly, Personal Care

We believe hearing care should never feel rushed or impersonal. Our audiologists take time to listen, explain clearly and provide ongoing support tailored to each patient.

HCPC-Registered Professionals

All hearing assessments and treatments are carried out by HCPC-registered audiologists using professional equipment and evidence-based clinical standards.

Flexible Appointments Across Cardiff
