HEARING AID NEWS – WHATS NEW? I think we would all agree that 2020 has been a challenging year so far, particularly for those suffering from hearing loss. As many of you will have experienced, hearing loss can often lead to feelings of loneliness and isolation, but the lockdown and continued safety measures have really heightened this.
Technology has helped in some ways, but has also been frustrating, especially if you are unable to hear as well as you used to. And let’s not get started on masks!
We wanted to share with you ways that we can help you during these times, and also share some other hearing aid news with you.
COVID-19 SAFE HEARING CARE
During lockdown, we kept our phone lines open throughout, and were able to continue to help our clients remotely with hearing aid adjustments and repairs, and
some new orders. We still are able to do this but are delighted that we can also offer the following services in a COVID safe way:
- Doorstep adjustments
- Ear Wax Removal Via Micro Suction
- Check Ups and Adjustments
- Clean and Check of Aids
- Hearing Tests and Ear Examinations
- New Hearing Aid Orders
- Replacement of Lost or Damaged Hearing Aids
- Hearing Aid Repairs and Accessories
We are here whenever you need us. Remember that both regular servicing and hearing assessments will help you get the most from your aids. Please call us on 0800 313 4304.

NEW AID OF THE MOMENT
Probably the most exciting and innovative hearing aid news in 2020 goes to Widex and their range of Moment hearing aids. Currently, we are the only audiologists in Wales to offer these aids but the most appealing aspect about these aids is that Widex have reduced the delay of sound entering the ear via the aid to zero seconds! This has never been done before and is a revelation for those users who find the delay and echoing in other aids irritating.
To have an appointment for a free demonstration of these aids please call our customer care team on 0800 313 4304.
Widex guarantee you notice the difference immediately!
HEARING AID ‘MASK MODE
Some manufacturers have introduced a free ‘mask mode’ on the hearing aid apps, which reduces the muffled sound from speakers wearing a mask. To find out if this will work on your current aids, please contact us and our expert Audiologists can advise you. Find out more here.
